Water Bombing
Stopping Fire Where It Spreads
When wildfires threaten forests, plantations, and the communities around them, speed and precision decide the outcome. Our water bombing missions are flown by a Sikorsky S-61A (N5193Y), rigged with a Bambi Bucket that draws water from the nearest lake, river, or reservoir and delivers it straight onto the fire line. Helicopter-based firefighting matters most where ground access is limited or unsafe, reaching remote forest, peatland, and mountainous terrain quickly and repeatedly.
Working from the air keeps crews away from the fire line while concentrating suppression exactly where it is needed. We sustain repeated drop cycles through an operation, adjusting routing and refill points as the fire moves, helping contain the spread before it reaches settlements, plantations, and critical infrastructure.
Every sortie follows set operational procedures, maintenance standards, and safety limits, so performance stays consistent through long deployments in demanding conditions. We fly these operations in support of national and regional disaster-management agencies.
